About the Team:


VIZIO is looking for a driven and creative Manager, SmartCast Marketing to support our SmartCast product marketing efforts. The Manager, SmartCast Marketing will collaborate with a cross-functional team in the marketing of products that include Smart TV on-screen features and capabilities, as well as content promotion. This is both a strategic and a support role that involves both B2B and B2C marketing– ensuring external customers (retail channels, content partners, brand advertisers, and agencies), internal customers (business development, advertising sales, programming, retail marketing and corporate marketing) and trade press understand the value of VIZIO’s SmartCast operating, entertainment and advertising capabilities. 


In this role, the successful candidate will operate as an authority on all marketing matters related to SmartCast features, functionality and content.  The Manager, SmartCast Marketing will support marketing efforts that span the full customer funnel and develop go-to-market launch plans for key SmartCast product features content initiatives.


We are a fast-paced team, and we are looking for someone who excels at partnering with multiple internal stakeholders in order to drive consensus and deliver results.



About You:

  • You have 5+ years of Product Marketing experience in the connected device, entertainment, advertising sales, and/or ad tech verticals.
  • You have a solid understanding of connected device operating systems, marketing, entertainment and digital-distribution landscapes, and streaming/entertainment platforms and interfaces.
  • You have demonstrated experience leading marketing initiatives that support both on and off-screen consumer engagement, as well as target consumers, content owners, brand advertisers, and agencies.
  • You have demonstrated experience managing the product development and marketing process to ensure the support and success of consumer engagement tied to revenue initiatives and retail sales.
  • You have proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, such as product and data, and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • You will analyze and utilize internal data assets to improve the SmartCast value proposition and the on-going dialogue with viewers, internal constituents and external customers.
  • You have a passion for the connected TV experience and uncovering insights and a successful track record translating them into actionable product marketing plans.
  • You possess the ability to tackle multiple projects at once, synthesizing each project goal and objective, and laying out a strategic plan to tackle each one while effectively monitoring progress and key milestones.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and professionally cross- functionally as well as with our external partners.
  • You possess strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals as well as effectively leverage and utilize resources and relationships for optimal results.

What You Will Do:

  • You will work with the SmartCast Product and Content Marketing teams to help define and drive SmartCast product development, enhancements, positioning and messaging, as well as create compelling content and sales enablement tools.
  • You will support the process by which SmartCast product additions or enhancements are introduced into the product roadmap and the evaluation of their benefits to various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • You will support the development and maintenance of content marketing narratives and materials from both a B2C and B2B perspective.
  • You will develop market positioning, materials and processes to differentiate VIZIO and the SmartCast OS and experience in the marketplace.
  • You will influence the out-of-box experience for the purposes of driving customer acquisition and engagement.
  • You will continually evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategies and plans to respond to changing market and competitive conditions.
  • You will work cross-functionally with Retail, Brand, Corporate, and Content & Partner Marketing to communicate go-to market plans for new product features and capabilities.
  • You will support the SmartCast product and marketing roadmap of upcoming features, and all associated materials.
  • You will work with internal and external teams on content and product launch timing and communicate this to stakeholders.
  • You will provide feedback and direction for internal and external creatives to stakeholders and agencies to ensure key objectives are met.
  • You will assist in conducting frequent qualitative and quantitative research in order influence technology & product roadmaps.
  • You will develop materials and presentations for B2C and B2B use with advertisers, app developers, content partners, tech partners, influencers, retailers, consumers, investor relations, and agencies.
  • You will regularly report on SmartCast campaigns and provide optimization recommendations.
  • You will conduct and track competitive activities and formulate actionable takeaways.
