About the Team:

VIZIO is actively recruiting a Manager, Insights & Analytics. In this role, the successful candidate will be a strategic partner to our Business Development team as we grow our content and application offerings on our mission to deliver the latest and greatest content to VIZIO consumers. The Manager of Insights & Analytics will develop and harness a variety of tools and datasets (both internal and external across a variety of business functions) to build compelling forecasting, measurement, and insights-driven products and presentations.

 

The Manager, Insights & Analytics will have a passion for data and problem solving and a desire to incept, build, develop and execute on a data dashboard for content engagement and viewership of both apps and channels.. The ideal candidate will closely coordinate with technical data teams like product and engineering and will be comfortable leaning in to learn technical processes that may be unfamiliar to them. As part of a rapidly-growing, fast-paced environment, this position requires strong self-drive, communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for solving problems in unique and novel ways.

 

About You:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in analytics or data-focused role. Digital media preferred.
  • You have experience in Programmatic video executions and workflows. CTV and OTT (including AVOD & PVOD) experience is preferred.
  • You have proficiency building dashboards with Tableau, Power BI, Looker and/or other BI / visualization data tools.
  • You are proficient in creating SQL, Python, or R database queries.
  • Experience demonstrating analytical concepts to craft an actionable story for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are able to normalize, stitch, and consolidate datasets from various sources and create unified analyses.
  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate, etc.)
  • You excel in data-driven analysis and are able to distill meaningful stories for publishers, advertisers and data licensees from a variety of data sources.
  • You have the ability to thrive and invent structure in a constantly evolving, amorphous environment.
  • You are comfortable speaking in front of large groups both internally and externally.
  • Experience with working in cloud-based environments like AWS.
  •  You have earned a Bachelor’s degree, statistics, mathematics, or information systems preferred, or have equivalent experience.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate with business development to understand needs and recommend optimizations.
  • You will create dashboards/visualizations for user performance data, ad inventory and sales data, and post-campaign marketing data.]
  • Evangelize the efficacy of VIZIO’s advertising platform through campaign measurement, research, case studies, best practices and deep advertising industry experience.
  • Master the ins and outs of Inscape’s proprietary ACR technology and TV viewing dataset to identify viewing trends, consumers’ interests, and content categories that should be further explored by the BD team.
  • Surface trends in viewership and identify compelling narratives for a wide variety of audiences and applications, including publishers, content owners, app owners, advertisers, marketing initiatives, and industry publications
