About the team:

VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Project Manager that will manage projects for the IT Department.  This role will define project scope, goals and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders; direct and manage full life cycle project development activities and track and report on project status. The IT-PM will report to the Senior Director, PMO and provide support to the IT initiatives.


What you will do:

  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documentation; Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises; devise contingency plans.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and identify and resolve design/delivery issues and conflicts within project team.
  • Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time.
  • Work closely with Project teams for innovative and creative solutions based on interpretation and analysis that improve business performance and contribute to corporate goals and strategic intent.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects.       
  • Track and report on project milestones and deliverables. Creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations and other materials) during the project.
  • Manage project expectations and communicate expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Distribute tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.          
  • Provide ongoing liaison with project stakeholders.   


About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Admin or related field, You have ~5 years relevant work experience with project management.
  • You have advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, analytical/problem solving skills and relevant business/technology skills
  • You are a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, yet at times, ambiguous environment.
  • You are a hard-working team player, with a “no task is too small” attitude.
  • You are a creative problem-solver who digs into root causes analytically, instead of relying on intuition and possess Cost and risk management skills.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to tell complex stories simply and adapt to questions, rather than just presenting information
  • You have strong project management and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously to drive outcomes within often tight deadlines or quick turnaround times
  • You possess PMI, CSM or similar certification with a good understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum); Project Planning and Tracking tools along with expertise in MS Office and Collaboration tools.
  • Have a good understanding of processes and systems within the consumer goods and retail industries.
  • Functional knowledge preferred in the areas of e-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Product development and Supply Chain. Working knowledge of applications such as Salesforce, WCMS, SAP is a plus.

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $85,000/year. The compensation package includes quarterly bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits.
