About the team:

VIZIO is seeking a Director of Sales who is responsible to identify channel and market growth opportunities for VIZIO.  They will design a financial sales plan and manage the execution of that plan with select customers.  They are responsible to mentor and manage sales team members to help them achieve their sales goals and to coordinate and provide direction and guidance with other colleagues to ensure customers and sales team members are provided with the necessary levels of internal support. They are responsible to identify areas of inefficiency within each customer sales plan and/or business practice.  When dealing with customers they will successfully represent the values and corporate principles of VIZIO by creating a balance between the sales goals of VIZIO and the strategic objectives of the customers. They will successfully and positively interact with customers at all levels (example: merchants, directors and occasionally executives) by building trust and they must possess an in-depth knowledge of each customer’s needs and objectives. They will provide strategic customer summaries and in-depth analysis of customer opportunities to help guide VIZIO management decisions to optimize successful and sustainable business opportunities in the future.


What you will do:

  • Define goals, roles, and responsibilities for each direct report as they pertain to customer opportunities.
  • Proactively meet with customers and VIZIO team members to assess progress toward predefined goals and provide mentorship & guidance in building trustworthy relationships within VIZIO and with VIZIO’s customers.
  • Consistently assess business opportunities with customers and create relevant, achievable customer business goals. 
  • Communicate sales goals, obstacles and new opportunities to Sales leadership for support and approval.
  • Manage and maintain accurate retail marketing accrual summaries and reassess the future retail marketing plan needed to maintain the sales goals while staying within budget. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with VIZIO colleagues to ensure sales goals and team coordination efforts are optimized to meet/exceed sales goals while minimizing costs. 
  • Positively interact with customers at all levels and build trust, manage customer engagement objectives and coordinate internal support.
  • Provide strategic customer summaries and in-depth analysis of customer opportunities to help guide VIZIO management decisions to optimize successful and sustainable business opportunities in the future.

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
  • You have 7+ years of work experience in successful sales management.
  • You have strong leadership skills.
  • You set intention/direction for the team and facilitate next steps to drive success and to mentor and inspire team members by example.
  • You have outstanding presentation skills.
  • You clearly and confidently present and deliver recommendations both internally and externally.
  • You identify business opportunities and to solve practical problems and conclude summaries that define the direction of the business in the future.
  • You have direct experience working with Amazon and/or Walmart

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $140,000/year. The compensation package includes quarterly bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits.
