About the Team:

A part of the Business Development organization, the Content Acquisitions team is looking for a Partner Manager. In coordination with your CA counterparts, you will provide partnership account management including on-boarding, content usage insights, and revenue optimization to VIZIO’s content partners that are a part of VIZIO’s free, ad supported content offering. 

 

The Partner Manager reports to the Director, Content Acquisition, and acts as a conduit between business and technical teams to ensure clear communication of priorities and challenges. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to ensure partners’ confidence in VIZIO O&O content offerings including Linear Channels, AVOD, and sponsored content initiatives.

 

The Partner Manager will be the face of VIZIO to content partners ensuring alignment across multi-functional areas (e.g. engineering, finance, marketing, analytics, etc.). In this position, you will work closely with key stakeholders and serve as a cross-functional liaison to lead partnership initiatives and manage multiple touch points. The successful candidate will work in coordination with the other members on CA team on deal renewals for existing partnerships. This diverse set of responsibilities requires a deep understanding of the partner’s business, content and goals, as well as the ability to paint a clear and compelling vision around how VIZIO will work collaboratively to drive great results.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for partnerships, data, and monetization.

 

This is a full-time position based in Irvine, CA or New York, NY.

 

About You:

  • You have 5+ years in business development or account management, preferably in technology, entertainment or fast moving business sectors.
  • You have contract negotiation experience including initial engagement, renewals and amendments aimed at revenue or technical initiatives.
  • You have experience using data to derive insights and advise on business strategies.
  • You are proficient in various analytical methodologies related to user performance data.
  • You can drive data-based projects with the goal of solving the big questions.
  • You can derive new KPIs as the business evolves.
  • You have demonstrated experience in managing a high-volume of strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills to executive team and C-Suite.
  • You have excellent cross-functional leadership skills.
  • You are proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office products.
  • You may have passion and understanding of content landscape.

 

What You Will Do:

  • You will build strong relationships with VIZIO’s content partners, and through proactive management and regular conversations, you will ensure that content partners are satisfied with their onboarding experience and ongoing engagement across the VIZIO teams.  This will also include formal meetings to review performance and strategic initiatives in the form of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other updates.
  • Manage data-based deal support for all ad-supported content deals within the WatchFree+ platform.
  • Derive analyses that advise on optimal monetization strategy.
  • Liaison between the CA team, VIZIO internal engineering and product teams, and external content partner teams.
  • Work with Content Management and utilize VIZIO data to identify best/worst performers and determine best practices and new initiatives to value and present to content partners.
  • Prepare presentations and analyses related to the deal pipeline and content strategy.
  • Various ad hoc and strategic focused requests.
